Alyssa's Wicked Birthday

Alyssa turned 11 and she'll be starting middle school next month! Can you believe it? They grow up so fast. For her birthday, my dad and I took her to go see Wicked again, which in case you didn't know, is her absolutely favorite play. The cast was amazing! I think it was even better than when we saw it at the Pantages and that is quite an accomplishment! We had a great time! Alyssa also got her first cell phone for her birthday, so she was texting everyone while we waited for the play to start. She was even texting my dad and I, while we were sitting next to her. I would guess that she had a pretty Oz-tastic birthday!

Sea World with Padre

Dad came down to visit this weekend, so Alyssa and I dragged him to Sea World. Our favorite place in the world. We had a lot of fun.

We went to go see the new Sea Lion and Otter show. Biff always comes out before the show starts to entertain the crowd. We almosted died laughing because this Biff looks just like Doug!

Pets Rule!

And, of course, we had to take dad to go see his favorite...the Clydesdales! :o)

Free Kid

I've been going through pictures of my family over the last couple years, while I've been working on my scrapbook. I came across this picture of my cousin and thought it was so funny.

So I decided that I needed to have a picture like that of Alyssa. This is what we came up with.

She was a good sport about it. We couldn't stop laughing. I think I'll keep her! :o)

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July, Doug and my dad came to visit! Yay! (I love when they come see me!) We decided to go to the Lake Elsinore Storm game and then watch their fireworks afterwards, a 2 for 1. :o) We also brought Doug's friend Roger who we've known for years. (He's basically another brother.) It was fun hanging out with my family and watching baseball. You can't get much more American than that. Here are some pics from the night!

It was a fun night, except for the crazy traffic after the game. But on the way home, we stopped at a red light and the car next to us was some friends I hadn't seen in a while. They had been at the game too, but we didn't know. Weird...but it was good to see them too! :o)
